Collection: Sensors For Open/Close Door and Window Detection

An Open/Close Door Sensor works by detecting whether a door or window is open or closed using a magnet and a sensor. These devices are common in smart homes, security systems, and IoT applications. Here's how they typically operate:

How It Works:

  1. Two Components:

    • The sensor is installed on the stationary frame (e.g., a doorframe or window sill).
    • The magnet is attached to the moving part (e.g., the door or window).
  2. Magnetic Field Detection:

    • When the door or window is closed, the magnet aligns with the sensor, maintaining a magnetic field that indicates the door/window is closed.
    • When the door or window is opened, the magnet moves away from the sensor, disrupting the magnetic field. This triggers the sensor to send a signal indicating the door/window is open.
  3. Wireless Communication:

    • Our open/close sensors communicate wirelessly with a gateway using the  LoRaWAN Protocol. This allows the sensor to transmit status updates in real-time to a Web Portal that we provide you.
  4. Integration:

    • Our sensors can be integrated into smart home systems or building management systems. For example, they can trigger actions such as turning off heating when a window is open or sending alerts if a door is unexpectedly opened.

Applications:

  • Home Security: Alerts homeowners when doors or windows are opened unexpectedly.
  • Smart Home Automation: Automates lighting, HVAC, or alarms based on door/window status.
  • Building Management: Monitors access in commercial properties for energy efficiency or security.
  • Industrial Use: Tracks operational access to storage rooms, cabinets, or critical zones.
